Abstract:
The risk control of storage tanks is of vital importance, and digital twin technology can effectively enhance the accuracy and timeliness of tank risk management. A digital twin model of storage tanks was developed by integrating 3D laser scanning full-space data with design drawings, tank data standards, and a model coding system. Key inspection report data were extracted, structured, and linked to the tank integrity system to enable integrated multi-source data processing. A risk assessment and management platform was established, utilizing various data analysis models to generate risk matrices and component risk analyses which were incorporated into the tanks' 3D models. Based on standards and defect data, targeted rectification measures and annual plans were formulated. Applied in a crude oil storage area, this approach enables dynamic risk assessment and closed-loop rectification management, advancing the intelligent management of storage tanks.
