Abstract: Pipeline transportation is CCUS technology. Currently, supercritical CO2 pipeline transportation faces complex challenges in thermodynamic phase behavior and flow assurance. This study comprehensively reviews the research status of CO 2 pipeline transportation technology. At the thermodynamic level, property prediction methods are summarized, identifying the limitations of equations of state for impurity-containing systems and the advantages of molecular simulation. At the process simulation level, the applicable conditions of steady-state and transient models and the performance of mainstream software are compared. At the safety assurance level, detection technologies-including negative pressure wave, distributed fiber-optic acoustic sensing, and magnetic flux leakage-are reviewed, and prevention and control strategies for weld cracks and hydrate blockage are discussed with consideration of crack arrest toughness. The findings indicate that persistent bottlenecks remain, such as the limited adaptability of impurity-containing models, insufficient transient models, and restricted localization of core detection equipment. Future research should prioritize high-precision multi-field coupled simulation, enhanced crack arrest prediction systems, and domestic equipment development, providing effective references for the safe operation and maintenance of long-distance CCUS pipelines.
