Abstract
The safe and stable operation of liquefied natural gas (LNG) terminals, as critical energy infrastructure, is essential. To address the challenges of inefficiency, high workload, and safety risks associated with manual inspections, a "5G + Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV)" intelligent inspection system was developed for comprehensive monitoring and remote control of equipment status and environmental parameters. This system employs multi-frequency hybrid networking to establish full 5G private network coverage at LNG terminals, ensuring that the inspection data does not leave LNG terminals. The application effectiveness of UAVs in daily inspections, natural gas leakage detection, and emergency response at LNG terminals was introduced, and development suggestions for their application were discussed. The research demonstrated that the "5G+UAV" intelligent inspection system significantly enhances inspection efficiency at LNG terminals, reduces safety risks for personnel, and offers intelligent solutions for inspections, thus providing valuable insights for promoting UAV applications in this context.
