Research on the adaptability of gas pipelines in utility tunnels

To strengthen the necessity and safety of gas pipelines when incorporated into utility tunnels and to resolve the problems when integrating gas pipelines into utility tunnels, by integrating the construction and operation scenarios of gas pipelines in utility tunnels domestically and internationally, this paper studied the problems at the four levels of regulation: technology, safety, and operation. An evaluation method for gas pipelines in utility tunnels was proposed. Considering demand- supporting factors such as the natural environment, geological conditions, and planning layout, it 's found that when the safety risks within an acceptable range through quantitative risk analysis, the proposed evaluation method can effectively ensure the necessity and safety of gas pipelines entering utility tunnels, providing a scientific and rational basis for the implementation of gas pipelines in utility tunnels.
